8/7/2020· I had a go at turning the MIG welder up and spraying some wire last night it seemed to penetrate far better and pour weld down well but every time I stopped the wire would burn back and stick to the tip any ideas where I was going wrong?

22/3/2014· If I get too short it fries the tip when I stop. I also disconnected the hot start function on my 250x which helped on burn back at the start of the arc. My new 252 has been much easier to work with than the 250x. I use mainly 3/64" wire (.047 tip).
